On Sunday, August 31st, JDCSI Chavakachery celebrated a special day as young members from the church were confirmed.
The service started at 7:30 a.m., led by Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Pathmathayalan. He guided the prayers and the confirmation ceremony with warmth and care. Rev. Thurairatnam, Rev. Irene Shalini and other pastors of the diocese actively participated in the service. Rev Dr S. C. Arnold, former officer of the diocese and a senior most clergy person of the diocese and Rev E. N. Lawrence retired clergy also participated in the confirmation service.
Sanmugalingam Aaron Kavikumar (Chavakachchery), Thurairathinam Sheren Sathana (Chavakachchery), Rasalan Rebecca Vaishnavi (Chavakachchery), Selvakaran Paul Dishan (Usan), and Antonyrajh Gabriel Desinthan (Varani) came from three local churches, Varani, Usan, and Chavakachchery. They stood before the congregation to declare their faith and become full members of the church family.
The event brought together clergy from the diocese, including the parish priests of the three churches. Their presence showed strong support for the youth and the church community.
A large crowd from Varani, Usan, and Chavakachery gathered to witness the ceremony, offering their prayers and encouragement, making the day filled with joy and togetherness.
After the service, everyone enjoyed a shared breakfast. It was a happy time for the new members, church leaders, and everyone present to celebrate and connect as one community.
