Bishop Pathmathayalan Joins Christ Seva Ashram’s 86th Anniversary Worship

“That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.”

John 17:21 (NIV)

On the 21st of August, 2025, the Christ Seva Ashram joyfully celebrated its 86th anniversary – a testament to its enduring legacy of spiritual service and Christ-centered community life.

The celebration was graced by Bishop Pathmathayalan, who, along with Bishop Amma Mrs. Mary Vijayananthini Pathmathayalan.

Bishop Pathmathayalan, shared the Holy Communion with the congregation, extending blessings and affirming the unity of the body of Christ. The service was a powerful moment of fellowship, worship, and reflection, drawing believers from diverse walks of life into one spirit.

The Ashram continues to serve as a beacon of faith, humility, and indigenous Christian witness in the Tamil Christian context, nurturing souls with a deep commitment to the Gospel.

“The Gospel is not a foreign garment; it must be woven into the fabric of our own culture.”
Rev. D.T. Niles

Rooted in the soil of our land and clothed in the language of our people, the celebration beautifully reflected the essence of indigenous worship- authentic, contextual, and Christ-honoring.
