We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Rt. Rev. Dr. A. Jacob Livingston, who was consecrated today as the first Bishop of the newly formed CSI Erode-Salem Diocese on 16th of August 2025. The consecration service took place at CSI Brough Memorial Church, Erode, in a solemn and spirit-led gathering.
CSI General Secretary Adv. C. Fernandas Rathina Raja presented the certificate of election and appointment during the service, which was officiated by the Most Rev. Dr. K. Reuben Mark, Moderator of the Church of South India and conducted the service with other bishops, Hon. Treasurer Prof. Dr. B. Vimal Sukumar and other leaders was also present.
Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Pathmathayalan, Bishop of the JDCSI, joyfully participated in the consecration service and extended his warm welcome to Bishop A. Jacob Livingston on behalf of the diocese. Bishop Pathmathayalan also expressed his commitment to building a strong fraternal relationship between the two dioceses and assured of a mutual mission partnership in the days to come.
We pray for God’s abundant grace and guidance upon Bishop A. Jacob Livingston as he begins his episcopal ministry in the Erode-Salem Diocese.
