The Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Pathmathayalan, Bishop of Jaffna Diocese of the Church South India has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka for another year. Annual General Meeting of the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka commenced at 8:30 am at the Diocesan Chamber of the Church of Ceylon located at Borella on 26.08.2023.
The former Bishop of Jaffna Diocese of the Church of South India, D.S. Thiagaraja, retired and the new Bishop took over most of his leadership of NCCSL.
Therefore, Rt .Rev. Dr. Velupillai Pathmathayalan has been appointed as its Chairperson for another year on the recommendation Executive Committee of the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka.

தென்னிந்திய திருச்சபை யாழ் ஆதீனத்தின் பேராயர் வே.பத்மதயாளன் அவர்கள் மீண்டும் ஒரு வருடம் இலங்கை தேசிய கிறிஸ்தவ மன்றத்தின் தலைவராக ஏகமனதாக தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டார்.
26.08.2023 அன்று சனிக்கிழமை பொரளையில் அமைந்துள்ள இலங்கைத் திருச்சபையின் கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் இலங்கை தேசிய கிறிஸ்தவ மன்றத்தின் வருடாந்த பொதுக் கூட்டம் காலை 8:30 மணிக்கு ஆரம்பமானது.
முன்னாள் தென்னிந்திய திருச்சபை யாழ் ஆதீனத்தின் பேராயர் செ.தியாகராஜா ஓய்வுபெற்றமையால் அவரின் தலைமைப் பதவியின் மிகுதிப் பகுதியினை புதிய பேராயர் பொறுப்பேற்றார்.
ஆகவே இலங்கை தேசிய கிறிஸ்தவ மன்ற செயற்குழுவின் பரிந்துரைக்கமைய மீண்டும் ஒரு வருடத்திற்கு பேரருட் கலாநிதி வேலுப்பிள்ளை பத்மதயாளன் அவர்கள் அதன் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.
தென்னிந்திய திருச்சபை யாழ் ஆதீனத்தினமாக பேராயரை வாழ்த்துகின்றோம்.
