Ernakulam | August 15, 2025:
The Rt. Rev. Kurian Peter was consecrated as the Bishop of the CSI Cochin Diocese in a solemn service held on 15th of August 2025 at CSI Immanuel Cathedral, Ernakulam. The sacred occasion was marked by the presence of several esteemed leaders of the Church of South India.
The Moderator of the CSI, Most Rev. Dr. K. Reuben Mark, led the consecration service, joined by fellow bishops in a spirit-filled liturgy. The CSI General Secretary, Adv. C. Fernandas Rathina Raja, formally presented the election and appointment certificate to the newly consecrated bishop. Also in attendance were the Hon. Treasurer Prof. Dr. B. Vimal Sukumar and other senior leaders of the Church.
Following the Examination of the Bishop-designate, the Consecration took place through the Laying on of Hands during the singing of the hymn “Come, Holy Ghost, Our Souls Inspire”. The Moderator, joined by bishops and selected presbyters, led the act of consecration. The newly consecrated bishop was then presented with the Bible and Pastoral Staff, received the Right Hand of Fellowship, and was vested with the episcopal symbols: the Cross was worn by the Rt. Rev. V. S. Francis, Bishop of the East Kerala Diocese; the Ring was presented by the Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Pathmathayalan, Bishop of the Jaffna Diocese; and the Saffron Stole was placed by the Rt. Rev. Dr. P. Isaac Varaprasad, Bishop of the Rayalaseema Diocese.
Bishop Pathmathayalan, a respected voice from the JDCSI, was present during the consecration service. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to Rt. Rev. Kurian Peter and held a meaningful conversation with him, discussing future plans and the mission of the Diocese. He affirmed his prayers and support for the new bishop as he embarks on this spiritual leadership journey.
The service was a significant moment in the life of the Cochin Diocese, filled with worship, blessings, and renewed commitment to the ministry of Christ.

தெ.இ. திருச்சபை கொச்சின் பேராயத்தின் புதிய பேராயராக குரியன் பீட்டர் அவர்கள் நியமனம் செய்யப்பட்டார். ஆகஸ்ட் 15, 2025 அன்று ஏர்ணாகுளத்தில் உள்ள தெ.இ. திருச்சபை இம்மானுவேல் பேராலயத்தில் இவ்வழிபாடு நடைபெற்றது.
யாழ்ப்பாண ஆதீனப் பேராயர் கலாநிதி வே. பத்மதயாளன் அவர்கள் புதிய பேராயருக்கு புதிய பேராயருக்கான மோதிரத்தை அணிவித்து மகிழ்ந்தார்; எமது ஆதீனத்தைப் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் முகமாக பேராயர் பத்மதயாளன் அவர்கள் இந்நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்று பேராயர் குரியன் பீட்டர் அவர்களுக்கு தனது உளமார்ந்த வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்தார். மேலும், எமது ஆதீனத்துடனான எதிர்கால திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் சபையின் சுவிசேட பணிகளைப் பற்றிய உரையாடலை புதிய ஆயருடன் நடாத்தினார்.
மேலும், தெ.இ. திருச்சபையின் முதன்மை பேராயர் கே. ரூபன் மார்க் அவர்கள் திருநிலைப்படுத்தல் வழிபாட்டைத் தலைமை தாங்கினார். பொதுச் செயலாளர் Adv. C. பெர்னாண்டஸ் இரத்தின ராஜா அவர்கள், புதிய பேராயருக்கு நியமன சான்றிதழ்களை உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக வழங்கினார். பொருளாளர் பி. விமல் சுகுமார் மற்றும் பிற மூத்த தலைவர்களும் நிகழ்வில் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
பேராயர் பதவிக்கான அடையாளங்கள் பின்வருமாறு வழங்கப்பட்டன: யாழ்ப்பாண ஆதீனப் பேராயர் கலாநிதி வே. பத்மதயாளன் அவர்கள் புதிய பேராயருக்கு புதிய பேராயருக்கான மோதிரத்தை அணிவித்து மகிழ்ந்தார்; கிழக்கு கேரளா மாவட்ட பேராயராகிய V. S. பிரான்சிஸ் அவர்கள் பேராயருக்கான சிலுவையை அணிவித்தார்; ராயலசீமா பேராயராகிய பி. ஐசாக் வரப்ரசாத் அவர்கள் பேராயருக்கான தோள்பட்டையை அணிவித்தார்.
